Admiral Richard E. Byrd Middle School Reviews

A great school. Clean and vary decortive. Some teachers are a little distracted but overall very good. The gym is nice with good teachers. The only down side is lunch. We have found foriegn objects (hair, plastic, ect) and not a lot of variety. Tons to do after school and good parent involvement. Newer and way more modern compared to other middle schools in area. The county's No Bullieng Program is a bit to stressed. I have found that bullying is not a big problem and the schools disiplin is vary good. Overall it is a good school.

Admiral Byrd is a fantastic school. Almost 100% of the teachers are nice. The gym teachers work you hard, but not too hard. The GT program is lots of fun, and very stimulating

Excellent leadership, facutly and staff. Outstanding school.

My daughter loves going to Admiral Byrd. However, we are not happy with the math department for 6th or 7th grade. Tutoring for math after school is equivalent to the students just doing their homework; not reviewing or being worked with. One 6th grade math teacher bullied my daughter and we had to remover her from the class. We spoke to her counselor and a vice principal who stressed that the teacher had a strong math background. The Ag Science (and FFA), Art and Theatre departments are great. There is a lot of school spirit with the children.
